Who we are

Operators who invest.

Aramas has spent years building trading, brokerage, portfolio and AI systems that run in production every day. We know what it takes to turn an idea into a product that customers trust — the late nights, the hard technical choices and the long road to product-market fit.

Aramas Ventures puts that experience, and our own balance sheet, behind the next generation of founders. We are not a traditional fund: there are no outside limited partners to answer to and no fund clock forcing an early exit. That lets us be patient, decide quickly and support companies for the long term.

What founders get

More than capital.

01

Our own capital

We invest from Aramas's own balance sheet — no fund cycle, no external LPs and no pressure to exit on someone else's timetable.

02

Engineering and product depth

Our engineers build trading platforms, data pipelines and AI systems in production. Founders can draw on that experience for architecture, security, scaling and hiring.

03

Network in Swiss finance

Introductions to banks, brokers, asset managers, technology partners and co-investors in Switzerland and across Europe.

04

Fast, direct decisions

You talk to the people who decide. No investment committee layers — a clear yes or no, and the reasons behind it.

05

Support for the next round

We help you get ready for follow-on financing: the story, the metrics, the data room and the introductions.

06

Founder-friendly terms

Clean, standard terms, explained openly. You stay in charge of your company; we are there when you need us.

What we look for

Ambitious teams, early.

We are generalists with a home advantage in finance, AI and software. What matters most is the team and the size of the opportunity.

Stage
Pre-seed to Series A. Earlier is welcome when the team is exceptional.
Sectors
Fintech, AI and machine learning, software and SaaS, data infrastructure — and other technology we understand well.
Geography
Switzerland and Europe first. Outstanding teams from anywhere are welcome.
Founders
Committed, resilient founders with deep knowledge of their market and the ability to build and sell.
Market
A real problem, a large and growing market, and a clear reason why now.
Edge
Technology, data, distribution or insight that others will find hard to copy.
How we invest

Simple, transparent terms.

Equity for capital

We invest in exchange for an equity stake — usually a minority — or through convertible instruments such as convertible loans where they suit the round better.

Flexible cheque size

Each investment is sized to the company's stage and plan, from a first pre-seed cheque to a participation in a Series A.

Lead or follow

We can lead a round, co-lead it, or invest alongside other business angels and venture funds.

Long-term partner

We take a board or observer seat where it helps, and we are ready to consider follow-on investments as the company grows.

The process

Your main competitors and alternatives, and why customers choose you over them.

05 Business model & traction

How you make money, and the evidence that customers want what you are building.

Anything else

Anything we have not asked about that you think we should know.

Like most investors, we do not sign NDAs at this stage. Aramas also builds its own financial technology and may look at or invest in companies with similar ideas, so share what you are comfortable with — sensitive details can follow later in the process.

FAQ

Questions founders ask.

What stage do you invest in?

Mostly pre-seed, seed and Series A. We also look at idea-stage companies when the team is exceptional.

How much do you invest?

It depends on the company's stage and needs. We size each investment individually rather than working from a fixed ticket.

What do you ask for in return?

An equity stake — typically a minority — or a convertible instrument. The terms are set out transparently in a term sheet before any binding agreement is signed.

Do you lead rounds?

We can lead, co-lead or join a round alongside other investors.

Do you take a board seat?

Where it helps the company, we take a board or observer seat. It is not a condition of every investment.

Will you sign an NDA?

Not at the first stage — like most investors, we do not sign NDAs to review a pitch. Share what you are comfortable with; detailed information can follow later in the process.

How long does the process take?

We read every application and reply by email. If there is a fit, the time from the first call to a decision depends mainly on due diligence, which we keep focused.

Do you invest outside Switzerland?

Yes. Our focus is Switzerland and Europe, but we look at outstanding teams wherever they are based.

Do I need a pitch deck?

A deck helps, but it is not required: the application asks for everything we need for a first review. If you have a deck, business plan, financial model, studies or a video pitch, attach them — up to 10 files and 25 MB in total — or share links to larger files.
